The on-site replacement facility for Blackwell Regional Hospital required intricate phasing coordination between the architectural design team, construction manager and engineering subdisciplines. The Emergency and Physical Therapy Department will remain operational throughout the duration of construction, despite the demolition of a 4-story tower building adjacent to the ED.
New construction includes 36,500 SF, a 6-bed Acute Care Unit, a Laboratory, Rural Health Clinic, Specialty Clinic, Entry, Admittance/Waiting Area, Support Services, and Radiology. Project includes heavy infrastructure upgrades that were carefully coordinated to maintain operations.
Construction cost: $12,511,400.
