IHS – Pueblo Pintado Health Center

The new Pueblo Pintado Health Center will consist of a new 121,465 square foot building with LEED Gold certification.

The proposed new Pueblo Pintado Health Center will consist of a 121,465 gross square foot building. It will be a modern, technologically advanced facility with enough space and staff to provide an expanded level of healthcare services specifically designed to meet the health needs of the American Indian & Alaskan Natives in the Crownpoint Service Unit. In addition to the Indian Health Service programs, several tribally operated health programs are incorporated into the new facility. This will improve access to medical care as well as improve the collaboration and partnership between the Navajo Nation and the Indian Health Service. The new facility will provide an expanded outpatient department, community health department, and a full array of ancillary and support services. In total, the facility will house 35 medical and administrative departments, an EMS post, a helipad, and infrastructure for a future 82-person living unit development. Special features include water storage and backup power for three days of operation and a 20-acre lagoon site. The new health center will serve approximately a projected 6,000 American Indian & Alaskan Natives living in the Pueblo Pintado Service Area in the State of New Mexico. It will be located on an 86-acre site on tribal trust land in Pueblo Pintado. This project will also be LEED Gold Certified and will meet GSA Guiding Principles.

In partnership with Indian Health Service (IHS) and the Navajo Nation, HFG has officially kicked off design work for the new Pueblo Pintado Health Center. This state-of-the-art medical facility will be located on an 86-acre site and will improve access to medical care for approximately 6,000 members of the Navajo Nation in the Pueblo Pintado Service Area in the State of New Mexico. Once complete, the new health center will provide a comprehensive outpatient department, community health department, and an array of support services.

We are thrilled to begin working in the Land of Enchantment with project partners across the United States
